Navigation and Practical sailing course

You will have the opportunity to pass the tests for the Danish sailing license “Dueligheds-Sønæringsbevis” (“Certificate of Sailing  Proficiency”) internationally recognized.

It has two tests. One in navigation theory and one in practical sailing.

Navigation

The theory/navigation course you will learn how to plan a trip, how you can find your position and the course you have to sail plus how to fix a position, so you can control if you are, where you think you are. Maximum 8 participants, 18 hours.
Furthermore you will learn about the rules at sea, so you know who has to give way to whom.

Practical sailing

In the practical part you will learn how to handle the boat under engine and sail in the harbor and in open water. Maximum 4 participants, 20 hours of sailing.

You do not have to take the two courses at the same time. You can choose to take one of them separately, but you do not get the license before you have passed both tests.

You can also participate in the course without going for the test.

(The course price includes all teaching materials but not the test-fee, which will be 500 dkr. for the navigation and 650 dkr. for the practical sailing test payed directly to the examiner on the test day.)
