About Copenhagen Sailing School

Copenhagen Sailing School is Denmark’s first and therefore oldest private sailing school without public subsidies. We have been active on the water since 1975, nuanced and continuously upgraded with contemporary teaching material and equipment.  The school is liable for VAT on all courses taken in Denmark.

At the school, we think that almost anyone can learn to sail and navigate and that it doesn’t necessarily have to take oceans of time. Almost all of our courses are therefore intensive courses. See our large course catalog here.

Every year we teach several hundred students, and it is our experience that intensive and targeted teaching, given by professional instructors, combined with the students’ desire to learn, and very small course groups, where there is time for the individual student, quickly bring about the desired results.

We are active on the water here in Denmark all summer and sail in the Caribbean with course participants every winter. Our passion is 100% sailing and everything it entails.

The instructors

The sailing school’s professional instructors are experienced sailors and teachers, patient and sociable. The sailing instructors all also have experience from sailing on the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, so if you dream of the big trip, you can always have a chat with the instructors.
