Charter and Long distend skipper

Charter and long-distance skipper course in the Caribbean is for you + possibly companion who wants to go sailing in the tropics.

It could e.g. be after completing the “Duelighedsbevis” or simply being curious about renting a boat abroad, or simply as a guided sailing trip for example in the Caribbean.

Combine a holiday with an educational course that can be taken anywhere in the world.

We arrange boat hire and breakfast provisions so you only have to think about the sailing life and relax.

The course gives you a thorough review of all the practical things to think about when renting a boat abroad and with the 14 years of long-distance sailing experience we have with our own ship, we will be able to give you a good insight into being a long-distance sailor.

There are no competence requirements for the participants on the course, but if you already have a “Duelighedsbevis” sailing certificate, we will of course make use of our knowledge from the “Duelighedsbevis” course, such as review of the ship, sail planning and everything that this entails, e.g. departure and check-in from and to a new country, passenger list and various papers.

It is voluntary how much you want to participate in the presentation about the charter/long-distance skipper part, so there is no direct meeting obligation, but we expect everyone to participate in the social and daily tasks on the ship.

We will lie in 6-8 different anchorage bays, each of which has its very own stamp of the Caribbean and which you can only see by arriving on your own keel, and at the same time it gives ample opportunity to practice laying a proper anchor so you are comfortable for the night.

The accommodation on board consists of double berths on a catamaran with room for 8 people + skipper. If you come alone you have to prepare to share a cabin with someone else.

There will be provisions for breakfast on board. We mainly eat lunch and dinner ashore, but I wonder if we catch or buy a fresh fish and grill it on board if anyone wants to 🙂

The sailing will mainly be day sailing, with a single night passage if necessary.

We sail out and back from Grenada, which has good flight connections from London, and if you want to spend a few days on land before and after, we can help you with the contact.

Price. 27.990,-

Upon registration, 17,990 is paid. An invoice of 10,000 is sent by e-mail with payment within 8 days, no later than 3 months before departure or when there are at least 4 people registered for the trip.

What is included.

Charter/long-distance skipper course, sailing for 12 days in the Grenadines (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) Morning meal on board. Check-out and check-in while on board the ship. expenses for buoys if necessary, Diesel and first filling of water.

What is not included.

Transport (flight/transfer) to and from the ship. Lunch and Dinner. travel insurance.

We have sailed in the Caribbean for many years and know almost every corner of the area we will be sailing in, including where it is best to anchor, what can be experienced on land and at sea and where it is good to eat.

We will come up with a presentation of what a trip might look like so that we get around and see as much as possible, i.e. that we sail a little every day, but it may be that the crew wants to stay an extra day here or there and it is also possible, there must be room for spontaneity, that is a big part of sailing.
